Granite Finishes
This photo above is one solid piece of granite showing 3 separate finishes.
ROCK EDGE is a natural looking finish that is used to give a memorial a more earthy rustic appearance. This method always makes most granite colors appear the same greyish color. Depending on the granite, the rock edge finish will always be a shade of dark to light grey in most cases as the true stone color does not appear until polished.
POLISHED is the most preferred finish that brings all the natural colors out of the individual stone and also creates a seal to the stone as well to protect it from the elements.
RAW/HONED similar to rock edge color but a flat surface. This method can be sometimes used around polished finished stone to highlight the polished stone even more.
Granite Colors
Below are some samples of the most common used polished granite colors to choose from. There are more colors available on request or simply take a picture of a granite color that you have seen elsewhere and we will do our best to find it for you.
Granite colors can vary greatly in price range. The pure black, reds and pearly colors are at the higher price end, but using a combination of colors can help reduce the overall price.
Memorial prices can vary up to 20% depending on color/s chosen. It will all come down to personal preference and your budget. We are here to help you choose or come up with suggestions if need be.
Please keep in mind that granite is a natural stone extracted from the ground and is not always the same. Colors can change slightly from digital images compared to seeing colors in natural daylight.
